Sue Winge Playwriting Award
It was an honor and thrill to be the recipient of the 2021 Sue Winge Playwriting Award from Villanova University. My play, Laundry, received two performed readings in the Smith Performance Lab located in the John and Joan Mullen Center for the Performing Arts. Enjoy the recorded reading of the play by some fabulous Villanova graduate students, and hang out for the end for a talkback with yours truly.
Peter and the Starcatcher at FCS
In the fall of 2023, I had the pleasure of directing a high school production of Peter and the Starcatcher. It had been a minute since I had directed high school students. I spent a lot of time reminiscing about a low budget production of Your a Good Man Charlie Brown that I co-directed at Chicago's Amundsen High School back in the day. It was low, low budget. Snoopy's doghouse was a folding table with a red tablecloth on it.
This production was not as low budget, so I got to do some fun things like take my cast to the local circus school for lessons in tumbling and acrobatics. Looking forward to sharing some images of the show. Stay tuned!
